The Clairvoyants

Game 81 - Mets

Rockies 6, Mets 2
Record: 46-35

"Of course, when Glavine gets pounded in Colorado and another no-name call-up dismantles the Met bats tomorrow night, I reserve the right to recant that paragraph and replace it with a flurry of expletives."

"That figures. Predictable really, I suppose. It was an act of purest optimism to have [talked up the Mets] in the first place. . . What a senseless waste."

Jason Hirsch ain't a no-name (highly touted pitching prospect), he's 6'8", 250, and he's coming for you big boy.

Coming in he was 3-7, 5.21 in his first full season in the bigs. He'd been lit up his last three times out. He was exactly what my fellow Metbloggers call a S.U.C.K.M.E. pitcher. He plays in Colorado. Close enough.

I like him...now you hurt my feelings. Dennis chose Kyle Lohse over him yesterday, now you belittle him...well will it end.
