I love the Olympics. Always have. I'm a sucker for the pageantry, the pressure, the pure athletic joy. And thanks to the good people of Beijing, I like them for an entirely new reason this year: the ongoing quadrennial hypefest meant that I didn't have to pay a lick of attention to the dreadful performance of Josh Beckett and the Olde Towne Team this weekend.
Here's hoping Usain Bolt does something cool tonight.
