Madness

Just got done telling Whit about last night's Indians/Jays conclusion, and I'm so giddy about it that I need to share it with the world. Or at least with you 7 people. Hi Mom!

Let's set the scene, shall we:

Game tied at 6, bottom of the 11th. Travis Hafner bats against Shaun Marcum with nobody out and David Dellucci on first. The Jays move into the now-ubiquitous overshift against the pull-hitting Pronk. Hafner works a full count.

Dellucci takes off for second on the 3-2 pitch from Marcum, which would be ball four, but for the fact that Hafner reaches out and dribbles the low, outside offering down the third base line. Cue pandemonium as three Jays race after the ball while Dellucci steams around third and dives across the plate to score. Indians win, 7-6, on a little nubber that travels maybe a total of 150 feet.

Baseball is fun.
